Customs availability at Guaymas Airport
« on: March 28, 2014, 08:53:54 AM »
When US citizens, on commercial flights from the States, arrive at the Guaymas Airport, can they clear customs at that airport, or... must they first stop at Hermosillo and clear customs there, before continuing on to the airports at Guaymas or Obregon?

What commercial flights fly in there now?  I didn't know there were any any more.

I have not found any commercial international flights serving Guaymas. Aeromexico at Hermosillo may offer scheduled flights to/from LAX and PHX. That's about it from what I've seen online.

Guaymas lost their only international commercial flight a few months ago.  Both Guaymas and Cd. Obregon are international airports and they see a reasonable amount of General Aviation foreign flights, however no scheduled flights.

One connection from the U.S. to Cd.Obregon often overlooked is through Cabo San Lucas which has many competitive daily flights.  Then one can take AeroCalafia in a Cessna Grand Caravan to Cd. Obregon for about $100.00 one way.
