Hi all,

This will be a full and fun week at Hacienda de los Santos.

For Monday Fun, the entree will be Chiles in Nogada, a seasonal favorite, served with Fiesta Rice and Mexican Cole Slaw. Appetizer, First Drink of Beer, Margarita, Soda, or Sparkling Water included  for $17 us. Gratuity Appreciated.

Monday Fun Film:

The Painted Veil

Based on the classic novel by W. Somerset Maugham, "The Painted Veil" is a love story set in the 1920s that tells the story of a young English couple, Walter, a middle class doctor and Kitty, an upper-class woman, who get married for the wrong reasons and relocate to Shanghai, where she falls in love with someone else. When he uncovers her infidelity, in an act of vengeance, he accepts a job in a remote village in China ravaged by a deadly epidemic, and takes her along. Their journey brings meaning to their relationship and gives them purpose in one of the most remote and beautiful places on earth.

The Hacienda Guitar, Wine and Food Festival

Friday, November 16th

1:00 p.m. Festival begins with lunch on the Sugar Mill Patio. Music will be by Los Hacendados, the Hacienda’s own quartet. They have just finished their 3rd CD. They are all from the village and their families have been playing guitars and singing for the past 300 years. Ramon Alcantar, is the lead singer of this fabulous group, and the music director for the Hacienda and this Festival.

Lunch:  $12 usd per person

4:30 p.m. Meet in Zapata’s Cantina for the introduction of the Vintner’s from Roganto Winery and our first tasting and discussion of their Baja California Wines and Delicious Botanas.

Wine Tasting: $10.00 usd per person

6:30 p.m. Hacienda Owners Jim and Nancy Swickard invite you to a Cocktail Party at the “Blue Bar” near the big pool with more music by Los Hacendados.  7:30 p.m. Five Course Dinner with Roganto Wine Pairings.

8:00 p.m. Concert featuring "Trio Azul" from Navojoa during and after dinner.

9:30 p.m. Romantic Wine Film in the Hacienda Theater, entitled A Walk in the Clouds.

Cocktail, 5 Course Dinner, Concert & Movie:  $45.00 usd per person

Saturday November 17th

10:00 a.m. Cooking School in the Hacienda’s Colonial Kitchen with Chef Alan Zeman. Please sign up in Reception for this class as there is only room for 14 students. It is up close and personal. This morning we will be learning to make: Tarte Tatin, Chocolate Molten Lava Cake, Pumpkin Chocolate Cheesecake and Chocolate Truffles. All perfect for your Holiday entertaining. After the class we will serve a Luncheon Chicken Salad with Roganto Chardonnay and a tasting of all the Desserts.

12:30 p.m. All guests, who are not participating in the class may enjoy this delicious lunch, after class, on the Molina Portal. Food served will be from the class and for non-class diners the cost is $20.00 usd.

Diners will be serenaded with romantic music by “Danny Lucero” from Navojoa, Mexico. Request your favorites.

Cooking Class & Lunch, Music:  $30.00 usd per person

5:30 pm:  Wine tasting  & Appetizers by Roganto Winery from Ensenada, Baja California Valley at Casa Moore with Music by “Los Hacendados." The area, for this event, is near the Putting Greens.

7:00 pm:  Four Course Dinner at the Sugar Mill Portal with wine pairing by Roganto. Music by La Estudiantina. A young group of Guitar musicians, playing & dancing in the traditional of 17th Century Spain.

8:30 pm: Concert in the Hacienda Theatre featuring music by Staccato. An eight member guitar Ensamble from Hermosillo, Sonora, directed by Maestro Jesús Cota.

$45.00 usd per person

Sunday November 18th,.

10:00 am: Cooking Class with Chef Alan Zeeman. Today we will be learning to make a delicious French Onion Soup, Hacienda Salad, Chicken Chiricahua with Green Chile Corn Bread Stuffing and Red Chile Mole, Maple Walnut Cheese Tart with a Wine pairing by Roganto.

This delicious lunch will be served on the Portal, by the Sparkling Pool, with beautiful “Trova Music.” $30 limited to 14 persons

Cooking Class, Lunch, and Music: $30.00 usd per person

5:30 pm: Tequila 101 & Tasting by Jim in the Cantina. This is the most popular class the Hacienda.  Served with delicious Botanas

Tequila Class: $15.00 usd per person + tax

7:00 pm: Dinner & Concert “Stretto” a very talented Jazz Quartet from Hermosillo, Mexico on the Sugar Mill Patio. Wear your dancing shoes. This will be a wonderful evening to add to your Alamos memory bank.

Dinner & Stretto Concert: $50.00 usd per person
