John Sheedy and his associates will speak about the film festival at the Alamos History Association on Thursday, March 10, at 10:30 in the upper level room of the Bours Community Center.

The annual meeting of the Alamos History Association, March 17, will take place at Cafe del Sol at 10:30 followed by a luncheon. 

The menu will be either:
Nachos with beans, cheese, met, salsa, jalapenos and cream for 85 pesos
or
Mexican chopped vegetable salad with chili cumin dressing, with or without chicken – 85/95 pesos.
Cookies – 25 pesos

Jamaica, lemonade and coffee will be provided by the Alamos History Association.

Please RSVP with your menu choice to gailmorden@gmail.com (including if you want cookies).

The presentation:

AN ECOLOGICAL LOOK BY STEPHANIE A. MEYER OF WESTERN SONORA.
THE SONORAN DESERT TO THE DRY TROPICS.

Stephanie a Alamos resident the past 27 years will take us on an environmental journey  through the Sonoran Desert to the Tropical Deciduous Forests of Southern Sonora. She will address the land use changes and preservation of both ecosystems since the 1950's to present day.
